Dear flower lovers,
I've been waiting for the impact of Covid-19 restrictions to arrive and I believe it has now been realised by Florists everywhere! I'm really big on transparency and I wanted to jump on here to let you know about some of the effects of the current climate. As there is a smaller amount of imported flowers arriving in Australia and possibly other reasons we're not aware of, Growers have significantly increased wholesale prices to meet the supply and demand of their beautiful blooms. When I say significant, I don't mean by a couple of dollars, I'm talking double+ the cost for wholesale blooms. As we come into quiet season it'll be interesting to see what Growers do but it's plausible that these changes will remain for at least the next 12 months, to our horror.
What this means as a retailer is, I need to adjust my prices/sizes to suit the current climate in order to remain open. I'm not a small business, I'm more like a tiny business haha and I will surely be affected by these changes if I don't move with the times. I will do my best to continue to create beautiful and affordable blooms. I thank you dearly for your continued support as we all adjust to the ongoing effects of Covid-19. For now, I want to leave you with a little gallery of blooms to cheer you up on a gloomy day!
Everlasting Grande Posies:
I hope you have an even more fabulous week as some restrictions have lifted!
